As the consumer you need to realize so can anyone else. The obstacle isn't special knowledge or experience it is just having enough money to afford publishing. So beware, research the authors and have fun with it.
Self Help Books You must be careful when putting your faith in self help books; there are a lot of people out there promoting self help books with absolutely no credentials. A lot of these books are written rather quickly with little or weak data supporting the claims. It is typically better sticking with authors that are experts in a field with some scientific background. There are millions of self help books on almost every subject imaginable. The real issue is anyone can write, publish and attempt to sell what amounts to no more than their own opinions. So be careful out there and do your research before you spend one dollar of your hard earned money.
